Hodges becomes Saint Francis’ (PA) first Choice Hotels NEC Player of the Week honoree since former Red Flash great Beth Swink won the award four times during the 2004-05 campaign, with the last coming on Feb. 21, 2005. Hodges played a leading role in a pair of victories that helped Saint Francis quickly forget about its tough season start. She averaged 16.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game in victories over Youngstown State and NEC rival St. Francis (NY). Hodges, who was one rebound shy of a double-double, scored two of her 13 points at Youngstown State with 1:44 remaining in overtime to push the Flash’s lead to six. Three days later, the junior guard powered the Red Flash to victory in their NEC opener by pouring in a team-high 20 points and dishing out a game-high nine assists. For the week, Hodges shot 13-of-26 (50.0%) from the floor.
