Julius Mutekanga, LIU Brooklyn
Competing at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational, Mutekanga clocked in with the top 400-meter time (48.09) the NEC has seen thus far this season. The LIU veteran won his preliminary heat while trimming 0.22 off his previous seasonal best. Mutekanga, who would own the top seed if the NEC Indoor Championships began today, is one of four Blackbirds ranked amongst the conference’s top-five quarter-milers.
