Lauren Sulick, Monmouth

Sulick notched a pair of wins for Monmouth at the 2011 Spartan Invitational, hosted by Norfolk State University, this past weekend. The NEC Akadema/NEC Pitcher of the Week logged 13 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched in her three appearances while sporting an earned run average of 0.47 on the weekend. The junior began the season with a complete-game, four-hitter in the Hawks' 2-1 win over George Washington on Saturday. She also struck out eight batters in the win. The Ohio native continued her strong performance at the mound in Monmouth’s 5-0 win over Morgan State on Sunday. Sulick pitched five shutout innings, allowing only two hits, to go along with four strikeouts.
