Lewthwaite proved clutch for the Colonials in their victory over Patriot League member Colgate. She scored her first two collegiate goals, both coming in timely fashion, during what was RMU’s lone game last week. The freshman defender provided both the last-second equalizer and the overtime game-winner in the 3-2 triumph that opened Robert Morris’ home schedule. With RMU trailing 2-1 and time ticking down, Lewthwaite stuffed home a shot off a penalty corner to pull the Colonials even with one second left on the clock. Then, six minutes and one second into the overtime period, she blasted a shot from the top of the circle off a corner and sent Robert Morris to its second win of the young season.
