Taylor is the league’s leading rebounder and ranks second in scoring through the season’s first two weeks and anyone who witnessed her latest effort should has seen why.  The 6-foot-1 do-it-all forward put forth a monster performance that powered a rout of Patriot League member Lehigh.  Going up against the Mountain Hawks, who are looking for their third NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four years, Taylor turned in her second double-double in three games this season.  Her 22 points led all scorers and her 15 rebounds stand as the second-highest NEC single-game total thus far this season.  The fourth-year Pioneer shot 71.4 percent (10-of-14) from the floor, including a 2-for-4 clip from three-point territory.  Playing 38 of the game’s 40 minutes, the preseason all-NEC selection logged a pair of assists and made four steals.

Palmer came through in the clutch during Long Island’s 62-60 road win over Tennessee Tech in the Preseason WNIT Consolation Round. The last two of her game-high 23 points broke a 58-58 tie with 00:48 remaining in regulation and gave LIU the lead for good against the Ohio Valley Conference’s preseason favorite.  The 5-foot-10 versatile forward finished with 23 points and eight rebounds, while shooting just under 50 percent (8-of-17) from the floor.  The two-time all-NEC selection, who played 36 of 40 minutes at TTU, shot 75 percent (6-of-8) from the charity stripe
