Leid has contested two Northeast Conference meets during her young collegiate career and has two NEC Rookie of the Week awards to show for her efforts. Leid posted a team-leading 20.55 frame average at the Northeast Conference Winter Meet, which consisted solely of quint-baker play.  The 5-foot-1 right-hander, who started the weekend in the leadoff spot before sliding down into the anchor position, filled 87.8 percent of frames bowled for the Red Flash.  Leid’s 1,829 baker pinfall led all NEC rookies over the course of the two-day meet during which Saint Francis (PA) posted wins over No. 3 Sacred Heart, LIU Brooklyn, Saint Peter’s and Monmouth.  The first-year Red Flash was only one of two rookies on hand to strike on more than 50 percent of her chances (FDU’s Liat Vizenfeld was the other). The Pennsylvania product rolled a team-high 57 strikes in 111 attempts  (.513).  Leid encountered only six splits throughout nine league matches and made good on 38 of her 43 non-split spare attempts.  In only its second year of existence as a program, Saint Francis (PA) has posted an 8-10 conference record in a league that features nine of the top-20 teams in NCAA bowling according to the latest edition of the National Tenpins Coaches’ Association Poll.
