Cervantes was a force at the plate for the Blackbirds as she hit .600 in the leadoff spot going nine- for- 15, and reached base at a .647 clip, to help LIU secure wins over Toledo, Northern Iowa and East Tennessee State. She also scored five runs and drove in three more. The junior outfielder registered a hit in all five of LIU’s games, three of which were multi-hit outings. Cervantes went 3-for-4 against Toledo with a double and an RBI, and continued the hot hitting against Northern Iowa, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.  On the final day of the tournament the California native posted two hits and scored a run as the Blackbirds booked a 5-1 victory over East Tennessee.
