Filippone won a pair of games on the week, playing all 120 minutes between the pipes and posting an impressive 24 saves with a .571 save percentage and a 9.00 goals against average in two conference road victories. The senior started the week with a 12-stop outing against Mount St. Mary’s Thursday and posted another 12 saves two days later against Monmouth on the road. She led the team in every defensive category, picking up nine ground balls and forcing six caused turnovers on the week, including four against Monmouth. On the season Filippone boasts a .519 save percentage which ranks first in the conference.

The senior goaltender posted one of the best weekends of her career, compiling an outstanding 4.34 goals against average and a .692 save percentage in games against Saint Francis (PA) and Robert Morris. On Thursday against the Red Flash, Martello allowed only three goals in 50:36 minutes of action, turning away a game-high nine shots to earn the 14-4 win. She followed up that performance by allowing only five goals on 14 shots in 60 minutes of action on Saturday against Robert Morris as the Bobcats collected a critical 6-5 win. Martello has now won four straight decisions.
