Sleith earns the third NEC Rookie of the Week honor of her career and first NEC Pitcher of the Week nod after she  went 3-0 on the week with a 1.67 ERA . The freshman earned complete-game victories in each one of her three starts. Opponents hit just .197 off of her as she allowed only 15 hits in 21 innings. Sleith tallied 23 strikeouts during the week against just three walks and no hit batters. Sleith began the week by defeating Kent State as she allowed just one run in seven innings while compiling a career-high 12 strikeouts against just one walk. In the process, she became just the eighth Colonial hurler to register at least 12 K’s in one outing. Sleith then worked all 14 innings of RMU’s doubleheader with in-state foe Saint Francis (PA) and earned both victories as she conceded only nine hits and four runs on the day. With Saturday’s effort, Sleith now has 62 strikeouts and eight walks in her last eight starts.  She currently sits first in the league in innings pitched (152.0), batters struck out (149) and wins (16).
