Juhring’s prowess throwing the javelin has landed the Mountaineer two NEC Rookie of the Week honors this season.  The freshman, who will head into the 2012 NEC Outdoor Championships as the event’s top seed, scored a sixth-place finish in the College Division of the Penn Relays by heaving the implement 42.24m (138’ 7”).  Although her most-recent performance is well above the qualifying standard for the ECAC Championships, it did not match the seasonal best (44.29m) she set at William & Mary’s Colonial Relays during the first week of April.
