Glynne picked the perfect time for his first complete-game shutout of the season. With Central Connecticut needing a victory to improve its standing in the race for the NEC Tournament, Glynne took the ball for Game 1 of a four-game series at Mount St. Mary’s and put nine consecutive zeroes up on the scoreboard. The senior right-hander scattered four hits and worked around three bases on balls over 9.0 innings of work in Central’s 9-0 series-opening road win. Glynne faced 35 batters in the game and fanned seven of them to bring his season strikeout total to 44 over a 63.0-inning sample size. In throwing the second 9-inning shutout by a CCSU hurler this spring, Glynne lowered his ERA to 3.48 and pushed his record up to 3-3.
