Delbene got off to an early lead at the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday. He paced all 115 runners for the duration of the meet to take first place overall. He crossed the 5K finish line 11 seconds before his nearest competitor with a time of 15:22.61. Delbene’s performance was key in the Blue Devils’ second place spot, the highest team place of all participating NEC teams
