Tom FitzSimons, Mount St. Mary's

FitzSimons posted the second-highest Heptathlon score (5043 pts.) in the Northeast Conference this season while qualifying for the IC4A Championships at last week’s Liberty Quad Meet. Of the seven Heptathletes who contested the meet, the Mount St. Mary’s sophomore finished no lower than fourth in any of the four field events. His 6.56m long jump mark was second in the field as was his pole vault height of 4.15m. FitzSimons put the shot 10.78m and cleared 1.84m in the high jump on his way to the IC4A qualifying score.
