Men's Soccer NEC Player of the Week
|
Andrew Sierman, Central Connecticut
Jr., GK, Warren, RI/Barrington
Sierman’s outstanding play in goal helped lift Central Connecticut State to a pair of league wins on the road last week, as the Blue Devils claimed the #2 seed in this weekend’s NEC Tournament. Sierman played just under 78 minutes in a 7-1 victory over Monmouth on Friday, as he allowed no goals on the afternoon while recording five saves. He then posted his sixth shutout of the year versus nationally ranked FDU on Sunday, as he registered five saves in the Blue Devils’ 1-0 upset win. The Barrington, RI native currently leads the NEC in goals against average (0.56) and save percentage (.887).
