Dominic Reinold, Fairleigh Dickinson

Needing to win their final five NEC contests in order to clinch a berth to the postseason, the Knights succeeded with the help of Reinold, whose eight-point two-game stretch propelled FDU to a pair of wins last week. Reinold scored all three goals in a 3-1 victory against St. Francis (NY) on Nov. 2 before adding an insurance marker in a 2-0 win over Sacred Heart on Nov. 6. Against the Terriers, the forward started the scoring early when he corralled a loose ball and deposited it into the back netting just four minutes into action. The one-goal lead stood through the remainder of the first half until Reinold fired again, this time in the 78th minute off a rebound in the middle of the box. SFNY cut the lead in half, but Reinold tacked on insurance at the 82:06 mark for the hat trick and the 3-1 victory. Against the Pioneers, the rookie put FDU up 2-0 in the 73rd minute with his team and league-leading 12th goal of the season. Reinold also paces the Conference with 28 points, while his four assists are tied for the sixth slot on the loop. The Knights, who are seeded fourth in the 2009 NEC Championship Tournament, take on the top-seed and host Monmouth Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 in West Long Branch, NJ.
