It was a story of personal bests and broken records for the runners of the NEC this past weekend as all four of this week’s honorees recorded noteworthy times at their respective races. Sacred Heart’s duo of Brittney Lane and Emma Bolduc both recorded personal best times this weekend en-route to helping the Pioneers to a 6th place overall finish at the Albany Invitational. Lane paced the Sacred Heart with a sub-18 minute 5K time of 17:59, while Bolduc finished in 19:28, 25 seconds better than her previous personal best. On the men’s side Sacred Heart’s Christopher Connelly picks up his first NEC Athlete of the week honor after he recorded a personal best time of 25:42 at the Albany Invitational while Monmouth’s Khari Bowen broke a school record for the fastest freshman finish at Princeton as he crossed the line in 25:36.
