Robert Long and Guerineau Albin, both winners of the “A” and “B” flight draws are Saint Francis University students.

“What a great tournament! Not only did we raise a lot of money for Alex's Lemonade stand, but we got to meet the SFU tennis community and introduce our tennis program,” said head coach
Paul Tobin. “The tournament went so well, the players asked if we could do a spring tournament, of course I said 'Yes.'”

Players got a chance to speak with Tobin and assistant coach
Vanja Radunovic as well as several players on the team. Each player got a chance to play three or four matches in the back-draw giving them more time to work on there game.

Former tennis coach Brother Shamus J. McGrenra, T.O.R. stopped by to give his support and mingle with the players.

“It was a real pleasure, as past tennis coach, to experience the excitement and energy that was evident this past weekend at the First Annual Fall Saint Francis University Tennis Tournament tournament held at the Ebensburg Tennis Center,” Brother Shamus.  “
Paul Tobin's effort in organizing this event was not only appreciated by all who both attended and participated, but, added to the overall quality of the tennis program, both at Saint Francis and in the local area.  A tradition has begun.”

“We are still about $1,200 away from our goal of $2,000 which we are hoping to have raised by the spring of 2012. To help please go to http://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/76833 and donate,” said Tobin.
