Loretto, PA -- Thirteen may not be so unlucky, after all.
For the 26th consecutive semester, Saint Francis University student-athletes have collectively posted a GPA of over a 3.0 – a span of 13 uninterrupted years.
The Red Flash officially checked in with a 3.164 GPA, showing a slight improvement over last fall's mark of 3.140. In all, 317 student-athletes qualified for the Department Honor Roll with a 3.0 or higher and 179 notched a 3.5 or better. To boot, 34 Red Flash earned a perfect 4.0.
The women's golf team came out on top among the University's athletics team with an impressive 3.601 and was closely followed by the field hockey team with a 3.534. Women's swimming posted a strong third place finish with a 3.482.
Tennis claimed top honors among men's teams with a 3.323 followed by men's cross country (3.286) and men's soccer (3.271).
Saint Francis will recognize its honor roll student-athletes at half-time of the women's basketball game against Sacred Heart on Monday, January 16th
