Behind the performances of Meaghan Wheeler, Deborah Hong and Allison Butler, Fairleigh Dickinson went 2-0 last week, with wins against St. Francis (NY) and defending NEC Champions Sacred Heart. Wheeler, the Molten/NEC Player of the week, averaged 5.14 kills per set and recorded a double-double against the Pioneers. Hong picks up her first Molten/NEC Co-Defensive Player of the week accolade after recording 5.29 digs per set and 37 total digs. Becky Jay of Robert Morris is the co-winner, contributing to the Colonials' 2-0 weekend. Jay averaged 1.50 blocks per set on the weekend, and tallied six in a win over CCSU. Butler is the Molten/NEC Co-Rookie of the Week, as she contributed 9.29 assists per set and 2.57 digs per set, as well as 65 total assists. Finally, Makenna Lommori i adds another honor to her long list, for her all-around solid performance once again in CCSU's two matches, including 74 assists, 10 blocks, and 18 digs.
