Sacred Heart enjoyed a heavy presence in the latest edition of the NEC's weekly football awards program thanks to a 27-10 road win over Ivy League member Dartmouth. Pioneers captured the NEC Defensive Player of the Week award (Justin Sexton), the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week award (Robert Shepherd) and the league's rookie honor (Kellen Sperduto). Monmouth's Kyle Frazier broke up a potential SHU sweep of the weekly awards by earning the NEC Offensive Player of the Week accolade as a result of his record total offense output.
