LIU Brooklyn's Annika Foit
LIU Brooklyn moves to 8-0 in conference play after a 3-0 week, with contributions from Annika Foit, the Molten/NEC Player of the Week and Tamara Ignjic, the Molten/NEC Rookie of the Week. Foit led the Blackbirds in kills this week and averaged 5.22 kills per set and 2.0 digs per set through the three matches, and also hit .459. Ignjic hit .467 against three conference opponents last weekend, and averaged 3.12 kills per set, 2.0 digs per set and 1.0 blocks per set. She also notched a double-double against Central Connecticut, with 16 kills and 11 digs. Becky Jay of Robert Morris picks up Molten/NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors for an outstanding blocking performance in the Colonials two matches, recording 15 total and 1.67 per set. She accounted for more than half the team's blocks.
