Northeast Conference Women's Soccer Release (10/8)
10/8/2012
After 1-0-1 weeks, Saint Francis (PA) and Mount St. Mary's athletes earn all of the Player of the Week nods. Tesa McKibben has now made it three straight after a six-point weekend, including two goals in a vs. CCSU and the game-tying score vs. Penn. Her teammate, Alecia McNiff, is the NEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, for anchoring a strong backline and allowing only two shots from the Blue Devils, and one goal from Ivy League-leading Penn. The Mount's Andrea Bujacich also lead the backline, allowing no goals over the weekend in the team's win against Robert Morris and tie with Sacred Heart. Freshman goalkeepers Vicky Cocozza and Rachel Bourne from Mount St. Mary's are the NEC Co-Rookies of the week, after posting a 0.00 goals against average.
