Quinnipiac’s William Cavallo made sure the Northeast Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament would be coming to Hamden, CT this weekend. This week’s NEC Player of the Week, Cavallo scored two goals, including the eventual game-winner, in the Bobcats’ 3-0 winner-takes-all victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday, giving QU the NEC Regular Season Title and the rights to host the postseason tournament. On the rookie side, Bryant’s Brett Larocque pulled out all the stops with his sixth goal of the year, the game-winner with just three seconds left in double overtime that lifted them past Central Connecticut, 2-1.
