Loretto, PA– Two more local products will be joining the defending Northeast Conference regular season champion Saint Francis University women's soccer team, head coach Brenda van Stralen announced on Wednesday.  Natalie Isett (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and Kelly Beegle (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) will both don Red Flash uniforms, come fall.

“We're very excited to add both of these players to our roster,” said van Stralen, a two-time NEC Coach of the Year.  “Natalie will make an immediate impact on our program and will help to get this team to the next level. Kelly will fight for a spot in the midfield and will help elevate the level competition on our team!”

A sophomore transfer from Division II Lock Haven, Isett had a stellar freshman year starting 15 out of 18 games played. She scored three goals as a midfielder for the Lady Eagles, including a game-winner against no. 16 Kutztown University, for a total of six points.

At Huntingdon, Isett scored 41 career goals and a racked up a school-record 46 assists on her way to all-conference and all-state honors.  She also played for the Soccer Training Network Royal Rowdies, who won Regional Championships in 2009-10.  Isett was also active with the North Union United Dynamos and the Olympic Development Program.

Beegle makes the short trip to Loretto from Bedford where she was a four-year letterwinner for the Bisons.  The midfielder helped her team to a combined 44-29-5 record over the course of her career, which included team MVP distinctions in 2009 and 2011.  She was also an Altoona Mirror First Team All-Start in 2010 and 2011, and was named all-conference each year from 2009-11.

The Red Flash went 12-6-3 a season ago, as it captured its first-ever Northeast Conference Regular Season Championship.  SFU opens its 2012 season on August 10 when it hosts American at 4 p.m.
