Brooklyn Heights, NY -- Terriers' Head Women's Volleyball Coach Micah Acoba announced the signings of Kelly O'Halloran and Leah Zitting to the Terrier volleyball program. O'Halloran and Zitting will enter the Class of 2016 this fall.

"We are excited about Kelly and Leah joining the St. Francis family," said Acoba. "Both are expected to fit well into our system and to play significant roles in our 2012 campaign."

O'Halloran (Tallahassee, FL) is a four-year letter winner and co-captain of the Trojans at Lincoln High School. At Lincoln, she earned All-Big Bend Volleyball First Team honors twice. Her 884 assists in 2011 eclipsed the previous school record -- a mark that she also established. O'Halloran's club experience includes seasons with Tallahassee Juniors and North Florida Volleyball Academy. "Kelly is quick, strong, and skilled," Acoba assessed. "She makes great sets and great decisions, and I just love her attitude. She will bring a lot of energy and toughness to our team."

Zitting (Huntsville, AL) is a three-year letter winner for the Senators at Sparkman High School. In her sophomore year, she led the Senators in blocks, and in her junior season, she was named Best Offensive Player. A two-sport athlete, Zitting also swam competitively at Sparkman, taking her team to the State Swim Meet five straight years. She plays club volleyball for Alabama Elite and has also played for North Alabama Spikers Association and Rocket City Volleyball Club. "Leah is a powerful athlete with a great work ethic," noted Acoba. "She is a wonderful person, and her improvement over the last few months is incredible. I can't wait to help her continue her development."
