Quinnipiac erupted for 35 runs in its four-game series against Mount St. Mary’s with NEC Player of the week Zak Palmer leading the charge. The sophomore third baseman recorded 11 hits in the series, including a 5-for-5 day in the series-opening victory that was also the 500^th win in collegiate coaching career of skipper Dan Gooley. The NEC Pitcher of the Week award remained in Smithfield, switching hands from Bryant’s Craig Schlitter to teammate Peter Kelich. The latter was responsible for the lone complete-game shutout in NEC play last week. The NEC Rookie of the Week made two appearances for LIU Brooklyn last week. Pitching to a 0.44 WHIP, Chance Fuglistahler logged 9.0 innings of one-run ball.
