Northeast Conference Baseball Release (4/2)
4/2/2012
Prime pitching performances were plentiful in Northeast Conference play this past weekend and the latest installment of the league’s weekly awards program reflects that. Fairleigh Dickinson’s
Joe Borelli and Central Connecticut’s
Casey Brown, both freshmen, each threw 7.0 scoreless innings and picked up a victory on the way to sharing the NEC Rookie of the Week award. The NEC Pitcher of the Week award went to Bryant ace
Pete Kelich who hurled a 9-inning complete-game shutout. Central Connecticut first baseman
Tyler McIntyre, the lone non-pitcher on this week’s Honor Roll, took the NEC Player of the Week award after logging five runs and five RBI in five games.
