SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Prior to last Saturday’s annual Black and Gold Spring Football game, the Bryant University Athletics department hosted Kids Day and also welcomed kids from Seven Hills Rhode Island for a football clinic at Bulldog Stadium.

The busy day began with the SAAC hosting Kids Day on the practice fields, while members of the football team conducted a clinic with Seven Hills Rhode Island, formerly The Homestead Group, a comprehensive social and human service organization supporting children and adults with various disabilities.

Saturday’s festivities attracted over 60 boys and girls for the Kids Day and the football clinic. Student-athletes from Bryant’s 22 varsity teams were on hand for Saturday’s Kids Day and played games such as kickball, flag football and tag with the kids. The Seven Hills Rhode Island group was able to work with the Bulldog football team and got a chance to kick field goals, throw passes and run through an obstacle course. Participants from both also had the chance to participate in a race across the field during a timeout in the spring game.
