Arielle Bruno took home NEC Softball Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career after leading the Blue Devils to a 6-0 week in which she hit .400 and recorded four home runs at the plate. While Quinnipiac’s
Katie Alfiere earned NEC Pitcher of the Week accolades after pitching a team-best 13 and 2.3 scoreless innings. NEC Rookie of the Week honors went to
Tess Apke of NEC Tournament host Robert Morris who went 7-for-15 at the plate, helping the Colonials to a 3-1 record against Big East rival Pitt and Youngstown State. The NEC Championship kicks of Thursday as #1 seeded Robert Morris hosts #4 Monmouth and #2 Quinnipiac faces #3 LIU Brooklyn. The championship is double elimination and runs through Saturday.
