The Colonial’s take out the brooms this week as senior Sarah Capp earns NEC Player of the Week honors and teammate Nicole Sleith books both NEC Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades. Capp went 8-for-14 at the plate this weekend, featuring her sixth homerun in the past 15 games. The senior lead the team with a (.571) average. Sleith went 3-0 on the mound with a 1.67 ERA, as she fanned 23 in her 21 innings pitched. Her 12 K’s against Kent State was a career-high as she became the eighth Colonial hurler in program history to throw as many strikes. Robert Morris posted a 3-1 record on the weekend, earning a pair of wins over Saint Francis (PA) and a split with Kent State.
