Brooklyn Heights, NY -- Terriers' men's basketball coach Danny Nigro recently visited the Alternate Learning Center at Grady High School. Nigro gave the students a real look at how they can direct their lives in the area of athletics.

"The examples Mr. Nigro gave as an athletic coach opened our students' eyes,” said Norman Cohn, New York City Department of Education Supervisor. “It's people like him who care and want to see our students succeed. Mr. Nigro is changing the paths taken by our young people directing them towards a better life and personal well-being.

“I'm always extremely happy to talk about the value of athletics,” said Nigro. It's been a huge part of my life both personally and professionally. I hope I'm able to offer a different perspective when I get the opportunity to talk with young people.”
