Moon Township, PA -- Two of Robert Morris University's women's golfers have been named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II, and III. Freshman Tori Zachman (Hampstead, Md. / North Carroll) and junior Annie Bozich (Aliquippa Pa. / Center) along with 583 others have been awarded this notable honor. The criterion for eligibility of this award is one of the most demanding amongst collegiate awards, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
Bozich receives this award for the second consecutive year. In the 2011-12 season, she competed in five tournaments with the Colonials finishing the season with an 87.9 stroke average. She recorded her lowest round of the season (80) at the UD Fall Invitational. Her lone top-10 finish for the season was a tie for 9th at the RMU Holiday Inn Colonial Classic.
A rookie to this award, Zachman competed in three tournaments with the Colonials last season. She recorded her lowest round of the season (87) at the RMU Holiday Inn Colonials Classic. And finished up the season with a 93.4 average.
Since the 2005-2006 season, the Colonials have earned this awarded this award twelve times. Bozich and Zachman are the thirteenth and fourteenth Colonials to be honored.
