Krimmel Announces Addition of Stephon Mosely to Saint Francis (PA) Men's Basketball Roster
8/2/2012
Loretto, PA -- First-year head coach Rob Krimmel announced on Thursday that forward Stephon Mosely will join the Saint Francis University men's basketball program in time for the 2012-13 season.
Mosley was the second-leading scorer for Seton Hall Prep in 2011-12, tossing in nearly 14 points per game. He also averaged seven rebounds per game while helping the Pirates to a 26-3 record and a berth in the New Jersey Non-Public A Championship. He becomes the fourth Garden State product – and the second Seton Hall Prep alum, joining senior captain Tony Peters (Roselle, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) – on the Red Flash roster.
The 6-6 freshman wrapped up his prep career with back-to-back Essex County Championships under the tutelage head coach Kevin Williams. During his entire scholastic career the Pirates dropped only eight decisions.
“We're very happy to welcome Stephon to our program,” said Krimmel. “He is a versatile, skilled forward who can play inside and outside and will add depth for us in the paint. He's going to be a great addition to the Red Flash both on and off the court.”
Mosely has been on campus since mid-July, taking classes and participating in team workouts.
The son of Shelly Mosely, Stephon plans to pursue a degree in either business or communication at the University.
