Wagner's Men's Basketball Wagner Announces The Addition Of Langston Burnett
8/9/2012
Staten Island, NY -- Wagner Head basketball coach Bashir Mason has announced the signing of Langston Burnett (Beltsville, MD / St. Vincent Pallotti) to an athletic grant-in-aid for the upcoming season.
Burnett joins freshmen Dwaun Anderson (Suttons Bay, MI / Suttons Bay / Michigan State) and Eric Fanning (Trenton, NJ / Perkiomen (PA)) in rounding out the Seahawks’ Class of 2016. Last season as a senior, Burnett averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds per game for St. Vincent Pallotti High School.
“Langston’s a wing guard with great size and strength and plays with a high motor,” said Mason. “The toughness and edge that he plays with fits in perfectly with our team’s identity. I am extremely excited to be able to coach Langston and help him develop as a player.”
The 6-5, 210-pound Burnett earned All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) B Conference honors in each of his final two seasons and played AAU basketball for the Ivey 23 Terps.
Wagner returns nine letterwinners and four starters from last year’s team, which won a school-record 25 games, including a historic victory over No. 15 Pitt. Click HERE for an updated Preseason Prospectus.
