Final Leaderboard

New Haven, CT --
Sophomore George Williams put together one of the most impressive rounds in LIU Brooklyn men's golf history, firing a five-under par 65 on the final day of play at the NCAA Men's Golf Regional in New Haven on Saturday. Williams continued his charge up the leaderboard and closed in a tie for 11th place individually.

Williams motored through his 18 holes without a hiccup, carding 13 pars and five birdies against no bogeys. For the second straight day, the individual winner of the Northeast Conference championship started on the back nine and strung together six straight pars before closing his first nine holes birdie-birdie-par.

The Hertfordshire, England native had an even more impressive showing over his final nine holes, putting together a three-under par 31 to finish the 54-hole event at two-under par 208. Williams finished just three strokes shy of earning a spot in the NCAA Championship field. Williams closed the event ranked fifth in par-4 scoring at three-under par and tied for 10th with 10 birdies.

Troy senior Tolver Dozier earned the spot as an individual after defeating Ohio State's Addison Coll in a playoff, as both players finished at four-under par 206 for their tournament. South Florida won the team title after shooting 14-under-par over the 54 holes. San Diego State finished 14 shots back of the Bulls, while San Diego State, Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt and LSU all advanced to the NCAA Championship.
