NEC WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jessica Giangarra, Central Connecticut
Sr., A, Ronkonkoma, NY/Connetquot
Giangarra was an offensive star for Central Connecticut in the Blue Devils' 21-12 win over St Mary's on Friday. She scored six goals and added an assist to play a role in a third of the team's goals over the Gaels. Giangarra, who entered the game having scored eight career goals in 34 games, netted three of the team's first five markers to set the tone and added another tally to keep Central Connecticut ahead 9-6 at the half. The six goals established a CCSU single-game season-high. She ranks second on the Blue Devils with nine tallies on the year.

NEC WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Samantha Santeramo, Bryant
Jr., GK, Wantagh, N/Gen Douglas MacArthur
Santeramo was the rock of Bryant's defense over the week, stopping 26 of 43 shots for a .605 save percentage in a split last week. She began with eight saves in a 9-8 victory over in-state rival Brown, the first-ever win for the Bulldogs over their Rhode Island foe in the annual Ocean State Cup. Santeramo followed with a career-high 18 saves and a game-high five ground balls in a 9-8 overtime loss to a strong Navy team. On the week, Santeramo recorded a 8.23 goals against average. For the year, she has posted a 8.76 GAA and .518 save percentage.

NEC WOMEN'S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Morgan Sinton, Central Connecticut
Fr., A, Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick
Sinton becomes the second straight Central Connecticut player to be named NEC Rookie of the Week after Megan Szawlowski was honored last Monday. Sinton scored four goals and added two assists in CCSU's 21-12 rout of St. Mary's on Friday. The freshman also collected three ground balls in the win. The Waldwick, NJ, native ranks fourth on the Blue Devils with seven goals this season.
