NEC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Woon, last year's NEC individual champion, continued his winning ways as he picked up his first NEC Golfer of the Week award of the season. The senior teed off his spring season with a victory, tying for first place at the Bash at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. Woon finished with an even-par 213, carding rounds of 72, 68 and 73 to win the title. His three-under 68 in the second round tied for the best 18-hole mark at the event. 

NEC WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Ronchel opened her spring season with a pair of impressive finishes en-route to NEC Golfer of the Week honors. She tied for fourth at the Lonnie Barton Invitational, shooting a 78 in each round to finish five shots off the pace. One week later the freshman posted another fourth place finish at the Lady EagleCat Invitational in Daytona Beach, FL, carding a three-over 147 with rounds of 74 and 73 for the Blackbirds. Ronchel's efforts helped the Blackbirds to a fourth place showing  at the Lonnie Barton Invitational and to a seventh place finish at the Lady EagleCat Invitational.
