BRYANT's record offensive performance was enough to move past Patriot League member Fordham, 45-40, on Homecoming Weekend in Smithfield. The Bulldogs, who received 175 scrimmage yards from freshman halfback Isaac McCray, ran more than 90 plays and set the single-game program standard with 608 yards of total offense.

CENTRAL CONNECTICUT out-classed Division II member Walsh, breaking into the win column following a grueling three-game season-opening stretch. After falling behind, 3-0, midway through the first quarter, the Blue Devils rattled off five touchdowns in a row to seize control of the contest heading into the break.

ROBERT MORRIS, which was without its starting signal caller, committed three first-quarter turnovers and No. 2 North Dakota State made the Colonials pay a heavy price. The home team shot out to a 35-0 lead over the first 15:00 with three touchdowns coming from Lance Dunn.

SACRED HEART twice rallied from double-digit deficits to pull even with Patriot League member Bucknell, but Bisons' kicker John Burdick's 46-yard field goal broke a 31-31 tie at the gun. Sacred Heart, which closed out a three-game road swing, scored four touchdowns, all coming in different ways (rush, pass, INT return, kickoff return).

WAGNER stepped up to face FBS member Western Michigan, dropping a 49-14 decision in Kalamazoo. The Seahawks, who were limited to 113 yards of offense by a team that competed in the Cotton Bowl this past January, trailed by a 21-0 margin when Denzel Knight punched in the team's first touchdown with 00:19 remaining in the first half.
