NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Carly Miller, Mount St. Mary's
So., A, Marriottsville, MD/Marriotts Ridge

Miller recorded five points on four goals in one assist in Mount St. Mary’s 12-8 victory over Manhattan in the season opener on Saturday. The sophomore attack assisted on what proved to be the game-winning goal with just 2:52 remaining and then added an insurance tally a minute later to help the Mount seal the win.

NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Madison Burke, Robert Morris
So., D, Finksburg, MD/Notre Dame Prep

Burke led a stingy Robert Morris defense that allowed just five goals in a one-goal setback to Bucknell in its season opener. The Finksburg, MD native also helped the Colonials to a 10-9 victory over Steel City rival Duquesne on Saturday. The sophomore defender caused six turnovers and picked up three ground balls in the two games.

NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Beanie Colson, Mount St. Mary’s
Fr., M, Westminster, MD/Manchester Valley

In her collegiate debut, Colson tallied a hat trick and added an assist to go along with a game-high nine draw controls in the Mount's 12-8 win over Manhattan. The freshman’s nine draws were more than the entire Manhattan team combined (8).
