Austin, TX -- Senior Dashaun Jackson (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) capped his legendary collegiate career with a fourth-place finish in the 110m hurdles of the NCAA Outdoor National Championship Finals, the best finish by a Saint Francis U track & field athlete in the school's history.

"There are no words to describe the magnitude of what Dashaun has accomplished this season and for his career," said head coach Doug Hoover. "He is a meticulous and unbelievably hard worker. He and coach (Chene) Townsend came up with a great game plan to put himself in this position and Dashaun executed it to a tee. We are so proud of him for representing Saint Francis with such class and grace and he can now call himself one of the fastest hurdlers in the world."

With the finish, Jackson earns USTFCCCA First Team All-American honors, the first SFU athlete to do so since Ryan Sheehan in the 10,000m in 2004. Sheehan's sixth place finish was bested by Jackson for the best finish in the championship in school history.

"I can't even put into words what I am feeling right now," said Jackson. "Coming out of high school, I would never have thought something like this would be possible. It shows what can happen when you put your trust into your coaches and commit yourself to accomplishing your dreams. I will remember this night for the rest of my life."

Jackson came in at a blistering pace of 13.38 seconds, just .01 seconds off the school record he set in Thursday's semifinals. He was neck-and-neck for third place but was edged by just .01 seconds by South Carolina's Isaiah Moore.

The University of Florida's Grant Holloway became a three-time individual champion with a collegiate record time of 12.98 seconds. He was followed by University of Kentucky's Daniel Roberts.
