It was a career week for Cohen, a redshirt sophomore who has the potential to be an elite big in the NEC this season. Cohen was a model of efficiency in SFU’s split, tossing in 18.0 points per game on 72.2 percent shooting from the floor and 90.9 percent from the line. He also supplied 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 block and 1.0 steal per game, despite playing just 21.5 minutes per outing. Cohen opened his week by scoring a career-high 18 points at Cornell on Wednesday, then matched that total four days later to help lead the Red Flash to a 79-68 win at Lehigh. Cohen, who hails from Lincroft, NJ, hit 7-9 shots, and added 10 rebounds in his second double-double effort of the season. He scored 16 of his 18 in the second half as SFU scored 53 points after intermission to pull away for the win. Cohen paces the NEC in field goal shooting (.714), and ranks 14th in scoring (11.8) and eighth in rebounding (6.8).
