Allen, who missed the 2021 season with an injury, served as the catalyst in Bryant's eye-opening sweep of No. 12 East Carolina that vaulted the Bulldogs into the national rankings. Allen, who spent his first two seasons at Bridgeport, posted two hits in each of the three wins over the 2021 NCAA Super Regional participants, batting .500 with three RBIs, four runs scored, two walks and a pair of stolen bases. The Magnolia, TX native had a two-run single in Bryant's 10-2 win in the series opener and singles in a run to put Bryant on the board in the final, a 4-3 Bulldog victory. Entering the national polls for the first time since 2016, Bryant is ranked No. 22 by Baseball America, No. 28 by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and No. 29 by the NCBWA.
