King’s bat helped lead a red-hot Mount St. Mary’s team to a three-game sweep of Sacred Heart. Collecting four RBI, the junior utility player was a double machine last week, as four of her six hits were two-baggers. King finished the week with a .545 batting average, a .909 slugging percentage and a .583 on-base percentage. The New Holland, PA native went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday’s 6-5 10-inning win. King went on to double twice in Sunday’s series finale victory, which extended the Mountaineers extended their NEC-best winning streak to 11-games. This is her first NEC Player of the Week honor this season.
