Vesco threw fire once again to lead Saint Francis U to a three-game sweep of Wagner. She did not allow an earned run in a pair of starts, the first of which saw her toss a no-hitter for the second time in 2022, and the fifth time in her career. The hurler put Wagner on lockdown in the Red Flash’s series opener on Saturday, allowing just one base runner on a hit batter in the fifth frame to earn the 9-0 victory. Vesco, who leads the circuit in ERA and opposing batting average, went on to grab her first save of the year in the series finale after re-entering the game in the seventh inning. She held the Seahawks to just four base runners and a .045 batting average in 8.0 innings of work. This is her third NEC Pitcher of the Week award this season.
