Week 4 Stats: 20 rushes, 103 rushing yards, 3 rushing TDs, 3 receptions, 24 receiving yards
Grant, the reigning NEC Offensive Player of the Year who leads the circuit with four rushing touchdowns, ran for 100-plus yards for the second time this season after racking up 103 yards on 20 carries in Sacred Heart’s thrilling come-from-behind overtime victory against two-time defending Ivy League champion Dartmouth. With his team facing a 14-point deficit in the third quarter, the senior running back spearheaded the triumphant comeback by scoring each of the Pioneers’ final three touchdowns. Crossing the goal line with 2:07 left in the final quarter to help tie the game and force overtime with his second touchdown of the game, Grant ran in from two yards out to win the game for Sacred Heart in the extra session. With the win, the Pioneers snapped Dartmouth’s 20-game, non-conference winning streak, which was the longest in the FCS. Grant’s three touchdowns are the most for a NEC player against a Division I opponent this season. This is his first NEC Offensive Player of the Week award this season, and the first for a Sacred Heart player in 202.
