Roufs put together an outstanding all-around effort on Friday to lead Central Connecticut past NEC preseason favorite Sacred Heart in five sets. The junior opposite hitter delivered eight blocks — one shy of her career high — to pace the team’s defensive efforts. Offensively, Roufs posted a sizzling .529 hitting percentage after firing nine kills with zero errors in 17 total attempts. Roufs has averaged 1.33 blocks per set since the start of NEC play to rank second in the conference in the category. This is her second NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.
