Umunakwe recorded double digits in tackles for the fourth time this season in Central Connecticut’s setback to Brown on Saturday. The senior linebacker tallied three solo stops and 13 total tackles, including 2.0 tackles for loss. Umunakwe leads the league in tackles per game and is the only player in the circuit averaging double figures in the category with 10.5 per contest. This is the Bronx, NY native’s first NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.
