Dawson, a redshirt-freshman, scored two timely touchdowns in a Merrimack come-from-behind win at Duquesne to earn NEC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career. The running back rushed 22 times for season-high 124 yards, including a season-best carry of 28 yards. A native of Akron, OH, Dawson’s first touchdown, a nine-yard run, helped tie up the game before halftime at 14-14. In the third quarter, he tacked on an insurance score for the Warriors on the first play of Merrimack’s seventh drive after running it in from 18 yards.
