The freshman outside hitter posted a double-double on 19 kills and 11 digs in the Red Flash’s thrilling, five-set win over Central Connecticut. On Saturday, Burns matched that number in kills and came just one dig shy of another double-double in a five-set defeat to first-place Sacred Heart. The Shippenville, PA native is averaging 2.92 kills per set this season — including 3.17 per set against league opponents — to rank second in the NEC.
