In a quad meet against Rutgers, Buffalo, and Felician, Broeresma placed third in both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events touching in a 58.03 and 2:06.73 which are the fastest times in the NEC, respectively. The junior from Bodegraven, Netherlands swam a 57.92 100-yeard backstroke leg in the 400 individual medley relay, which also ranks first in the NEC. Broeresma additionally has a top NEC time in the 50-yard backstroke.
